Finally we get our hands on the Tab 3, the highly anticipated upgrade from the already very well received Samsung Tab 2. We are not going to do a direct comparison because yes, it is faster, looks better and is definitely an upgrade in all facets, so lets just take you through what this does so well…

This device is fast, outperforming everything else on software speed test. Everything was instant, great for impatient people like me!

It also includes a popular feature missing off many competitor tablets, such as the Nexus 7. The addition of the rear facing camera, which is a decent 3 mega pixel on the Tab 3, means decent quality pictures on the go. There is also obviously a sufficient front facing camera for webcamming.

The overall styling of the tablet is also excellent, especially considering this tablet is under $200, it feels very solid in the hand. We opted for the white version and needless to say it’s a very eye-catching piece of hardware.

The initial set up was stress-free and smooth. Its gets you on WiFi with ease, even the novice user will enjoy the Samsung experience here, as its clear they have made every effort for all age brackets to get online without any problems.

The battery was excellent, and simple management like turning the brightness down from 100% and turning WiFi off if not used will get you through the day with ease.

We were also pleased to see expandable memory slots, mini USB and HDMI outputs rounding off what we have decided is simply the best tablet we have tested to date.
